How to use the scientific calculator
- Type an expression in the box, for example
2(3+4)^2 / sqrt(16), or tap the keys. - The result updates as you type. Press Enter or = to save it to the history.
- Switch between DEG and RAD for trigonometry. Tap a history line to load it again, and use
ansfor the last result.
What you can type
- Operators:
+ − × ÷ ^(power),!(factorial) and%(divide by 100). Multiplication can be implied:2pi,3(4+1). - Functions:
sin cos tan asin acos atan sinh cosh tanh sqrt cbrt ln log log2 exp abs floor ceil round, pluslog(x, base),nCr(n, r),nPr(n, r),mod(a, b),minandmax. - Constants:
pi(π),e,tauandphi(golden ratio). Scientific notation:6.022e23.
The calculator follows the standard order of operations: brackets, powers, multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. Powers are right-associative, so 2^3^2 is 2⁹ = 512, and -2^2 is −4, as in mathematics. Results are shown to 12 significant digits, which hides floating-point noise such as 0.1 + 0.2 = 0.30000000000000004.
It runs entirely in your browser and works offline. History is saved on this device only.
How do I calculate a percentage?
Type 15% * 80 or 0.15 * 80 to get 15% of 80. For percentage change and other questions, the percentage calculator is easier.
Why is sin(30) not 0.5?
You are in radian mode. Tap RAD to switch to DEG; sin(30°) = 0.5.
What is the largest factorial it can compute?
170!, about 7.26 × 10³⁰⁶. Larger factorials exceed the range of double-precision numbers and show ∞.
Does it work with the keyboard?
Yes. Type directly, press Enter to calculate and Escape to clear.
