Uses for A4 graph paper

A4 squared paper is the standard in UK and European schools for maths, science graphs and technical drawing. 5 mm squares with a heavier line every 10 squares match most exercise books, and 1 mm or 2 mm graph paper is used for precise plots in physics and engineering.

Plot graphs with the axes on the bold lines so scales are easy to count, and use lighter line colours if you want your drawing to stand out when photocopied.

Pages are generated as vector graphics at exact real-world sizes, so they print sharply. In the print dialog set scale to 100% (not "fit to page") so the spacing is accurate. You can also change the colour and line weight, add a header for name and date, download an SVG or PNG, or switch to any other paper type. Everything is generated in your browser.
