How to make a photo collage
- Drop two to nine photos on the box above, or tap to choose them. A layout is suggested for the number of photos.
- Pick a layout and canvas size: square for Instagram posts, 4:5 portrait for feeds, 9:16 for stories, 3:2 for prints.
- Adjust the spacing, rounded corners and background color. Use Shuffle order to try different arrangements.
- Download as JPEG for sharing or PNG for the best quality.
Layouts and cropping
Grid layouts fill every cell completely, cropping each photo around its centre, so the collage has clean edges whatever the shape of your photos. If you want nothing cropped, choose Side by side or Stacked (keep proportions): all photos are scaled to the same height (or width) and joined, which is perfect for before-and-after comparisons.
Spacing is measured in pixels of the final image. A white gap of 16–30 px gives a classic print look; zero spacing makes a seamless mosaic. A dark background with rounded corners suits phone screenshots.
Private and free
The collage is drawn in your browser with the Canvas API. Your photos are not uploaded, there is no watermark, and the page works offline once loaded.
How many photos can I use?
Up to nine. If a layout has more cells than photos, photos repeat; if it has fewer, the extra photos are left out.
What size should an Instagram collage be?
Use Square 2000×2000 or Portrait 4:5. Instagram resizes posts to 1080 pixels wide, so both stay sharp.
Can I put two pictures side by side without cropping?
Yes. Choose "Side by side (keep proportions)". Each photo keeps its full frame and they are scaled to the same height.
