How to make a beautiful screenshot
- Paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on Mac), drop an image file, or tap to choose one.
- Pick a gradient background or your own two colours, or tick Transparent for a PNG without background.
- Adjust the padding, corner radius, shadow and tilt, and choose a macOS window or browser frame.
- Choose a canvas size for the platform you are posting to, then download a sharp 2× PNG or copy it straight to the clipboard.
Why beautify screenshots?
Raw screenshots look flat and cramped in tweets, product announcements, slide decks, documentation and portfolio pages. Placing them on a soft gradient with breathing room, rounded corners and a gentle shadow makes them look like a polished product shot, and a window frame gives context about what the viewer is seeing. Fixed canvas sizes such as 16:9 or 1:1 stop social networks from cropping your image awkwardly in the timeline.
Exports are rendered at 2× by default so text stays crisp on high-resolution screens. Padding and corner radius scale with the screenshot's size, so a 4K capture and a phone screenshot both look balanced. Everything happens on a canvas in your browser: your screenshots, which often contain private messages, dashboards or customer data, are never uploaded. Remember to blur or redact sensitive information first; the censor tool can help with that.
Can I paste directly from the clipboard?
Yes. Take a screenshot to your clipboard and press Ctrl+V or ⌘+V on this page.
Is the result high resolution?
Yes. The 2× export doubles the pixel size of your screenshot plus the frame and padding.
Can I make the background transparent?
Yes. Tick Transparent to export a PNG with only the framed screenshot and shadow.
