Paste the script into your page's <head> or <body>, then check it with Google's Rich Results Test.

    How to create Event schema

    1. Enter the event name, description and an image.
    2. Set the start and end date and time.
    3. Choose whether it is in person, online or mixed, and enter the venue name and address or the online URL.
    4. Set the status (scheduled, postponed, rescheduled, cancelled or moved online), the organiser, and the ticket price and link.
    5. Copy the JSON-LD into the event's page and test it.

    Event rich results

Event markup makes your events eligible for Google's event experience, which lists upcoming events with dates, locations and ticket links when people search for things like "pottery workshops in Bristol" or "jazz concerts this weekend". It is one of the most visible rich result types for local businesses, venues, educators and community groups.

Each event needs its own page and markup, including each date of a recurring series. Keep the status accurate: if an event is postponed or cancelled, update eventStatus rather than deleting the page, so Google can tell attendees. Include the time zone when you publish times; the date fields here use local time, so add an offset such as +01:00 if your audience spans zones.

The generator runs locally in your browser.

    FAQ

Where do I add Event schema?

Paste the JSON-LD script into the HTML of the page it describes, usually in the head. Most CMSs and SEO plugins have a field or block for custom code.

Will Event schema guarantee rich results?

No. Valid markup makes a page eligible, but Google decides per search whether to show a rich result. Check Search Console for errors and eligibility.

Can I mark up online events?

Yes. Choose online attendance and enter the event URL. Google supports VirtualLocation for webinars and live streams.
