Make a multiple-choice quiz and share a link

How to make a quiz

  1. Give your quiz a title and type each question with the correct answer and one to three wrong answers. Or paste many at once, one per line, as question | correct | wrong | wrong.
  2. Press Play quiz to try it. Questions and answer options are shuffled each time, so the correct answer is not always A.
  3. Press Copy share link and send it to students, friends or family. The whole quiz is stored in the link, so they can play straight away with no account. At the end they can share their score and challenge others to beat it.

Quizzes for learning

Retrieval practice, trying to recall answers rather than re-reading notes, is one of the most effective study techniques found by learning research. A quick quiz at the start of a lesson, as homework or before an exam shows what has stuck and what needs revisiting, and the review screen lists every question answered wrongly with its correct answer. Good multiple-choice questions test one idea each and use plausible wrong answers based on common misconceptions, rather than obviously silly options.

Teachers can use it as a starter activity on the classroom screen, parents for spelling and times-tables practice, and students to test each other before exams. Quizzes are saved in your browser while you edit, and shared quizzes live entirely in the link, so nothing is stored on a server and no one needs to sign up. Very long quizzes create long links; around 30 questions works comfortably everywhere.

Do players need an account?

No. They open the link and play in their browser.

Can I see my students' scores?

Not automatically, since nothing is stored on a server. Ask students to share their result card or tell you their score.

Can I edit a quiz after sharing it?

Edit it and copy a new link. The old link keeps the old version, because the quiz is stored inside it.
