How to use the shopping list
- Type what you need and press Enter. Add several things at once by separating them with commas, for example "milk, 6 eggs, bread".
- Items are sorted into aisles such as produce, dairy, bakery and pantry automatically, so you can shop in one pass. Untick "Group by aisle" for a plain list.
- In the shop, tap items to tick them off; they move to the bottom of their aisle. Remove ticked items when you are done.
- Use Share link to send the list to someone else, or Copy to paste it into a message.
A private, no-account shopping list
Most shopping list apps want an account and sync your data to their servers. This list lives in your browser: it is saved automatically on your device and is there when you come back, even offline once the page has loaded. Sharing works without a server too. The share link contains the items themselves, encoded in the address, so whoever opens it gets a copy of the list in their own browser. Changes are not synced back, which keeps things simple: send a fresh link when the list changes.
Aisle sorting uses a small built-in dictionary of common groceries in English. Anything it does not recognise goes under "Other", and you can still tick it off normally. Tip: add the page to your phone's home screen for one-tap access in the supermarket.
Is my list saved?
Yes, in this browser on this device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Can two people edit the same list?
Not live. Share a link and the other person gets their own copy.
Does it work offline?
Once the page is open, adding and ticking items works without a connection.
