How to print several PDF pages per sheet
- Drop a PDF on the box.
- Choose a layout: 2, 4, 6 or 9 pages per sheet, or Booklet to make a folded booklet.
- Choose the sheet size and the gap between pages, and optionally a thin border around each page.
- Press Create PDF, download it and print it at 100% scale.
N-up printing saves paper
Printing two or four pages on each sheet ("N-up") cuts paper use in half or by three quarters. It is ideal for slide decks, lecture notes, handouts, drafts you want to proofread and reference material. Pages are scaled to fit their cell without distortion, and two-up layouts use landscape sheets so each page stays as large as possible.
Making a booklet
Booklet mode rearranges pages so that, when you print double-sided and fold the stack in half, the pages run in the right order: page 1 on the front cover, the last page on the back. This saddle-stitch imposition is how magazines and zines are made. The page count is padded with blank pages to a multiple of four, and the plan line tells you how many. Print with "flip on short edge", fold, and staple along the spine. A5 booklets come from A4 sheets; half-letter booklets from US Letter.
The PDF is rearranged in your browser with vector quality preserved: text stays sharp and selectable. Nothing is uploaded.
How do I print a PDF as a booklet?
Choose Booklet, create the PDF, print double-sided with "flip on short edge", then fold the stack in half and staple the fold.
Why were blank pages added?
A folded sheet holds four pages, so booklets need a multiple of four pages. Blank pages are added at the end.
Does N-up reduce quality?
No. Pages are placed as vectors, so they stay sharp, just smaller.
