How to convert PDF pages to images
- Drop a PDF on the box.
- Choose the image format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and resolution. 150 dpi is sharp on screens and fine for most uses; choose 300 dpi for printing.
- Optionally type which pages to convert, such as
1, 3-5. Leave it blank for all pages. - Press Convert to images, then download single pages or all of them as a ZIP.
JPG, PNG or WebP?
JPG gives small files and suits pages with photos or scans. PNG is lossless, so text and line drawings stay perfectly crisp, but files are larger. WebP is a modern format that is usually smaller than both and works in all current browsers, though some older software cannot open it.
Converting PDF pages to images is handy for posting a page on social media, inserting it into a presentation or document editor that cannot import PDFs, uploading to a site that only accepts images, making thumbnails or previews, or sharing a single page in a chat app. Pages are rendered with the same open-source engine Firefox uses to display PDFs, so fonts and vector graphics look as they do in a PDF viewer.
Private conversion
Your PDF is rendered in your browser and the images are created on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe to convert private documents.
What resolution should I choose?
72–150 dpi for screens, email and the web; 300 dpi for printing or when you need to zoom in on small text.
Can I convert just one page?
Yes. Type the page number in the Pages box, for example 4.
Why does a page look different from my PDF reader?
Rarely, a PDF uses unusual fonts or features that render slightly differently. Try PNG at a higher resolution for the closest match.
