To-Do List

Quick to-do list with priorities and due dates

Tip: end a task with “!” for high priority, and write “today” or “tomorrow” to set a due date.

How to use the to-do list

    1. Type a task and press Enter. Add "!" at the end to mark it as high priority, and words like "today", "tomorrow" or "friday" to set a due date.
    2. Tick tasks off as you finish them. Open tasks are sorted by priority and due date, and overdue dates turn red.
    3. Filter by To do or Done, edit or delete tasks, clear completed ones, or copy the whole list.

    Simple, fast and private

This to-do list has no sign-up and no cloud. Tasks are stored in your browser on this device, so they load instantly and stay private, and the page works offline once loaded. It is meant for the short daily list most people actually use: a handful of things to get done today and this week, not a full project management system. For moving tasks through stages, the Kanban board works better; for timed focus on one task, pair this list with the Pomodoro timer.

Productivity research suggests a few habits help: write tasks as concrete actions ("email Sam the quote" rather than "quote"), limit your list to what can realistically be done today, and pick your top one to three priorities first. Because data lives in local storage, clearing browsing data deletes the list; copy it somewhere safe if it matters.

    Are my tasks saved?

Yes, automatically in this browser. They are not synced to other devices.

How do I set a due date?

Include "today", "tomorrow" or a weekday such as "monday" in the task text.

    Can I reorder tasks?

Tasks are ordered automatically: priority first, then the nearest due date.
