How to count pages in PDFs

  1. Drop one or more PDF files on the box. You can add more files at any time.
  2. The table lists each file with its page count, file size and page size (A4, Letter and so on), and the cards at the top show the totals.

Why count pages?

Print shops, translators, legal teams and copy services often price work per page, and portals for courts, universities and grant applications often limit the number of pages you may upload. Counting pages across a whole folder of PDFs by opening each one is slow; here you can drop them all at once and get a total in a second.

Page sizes help too: a document that mixes A4 and Letter pages, or includes a landscape page, may print unexpectedly. Files that cannot be read, such as damaged PDFs or files that are not PDFs at all, are flagged in the table.

Files are read in your browser with an open-source PDF library and are never uploaded, so this works for confidential documents and large batches alike.

FAQ

Can I count pages of many PDFs at once?

Yes. Select or drop as many PDFs as you like; each gets its own row and the total is shown.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Often yes for counting, because page counts can usually be read without the password.

How do I see a PDF’s other properties?

Use the PDF Metadata Editor, which also shows the title, author and dates.
