How to sign a PDF
- Drop the PDF you need to sign on the box. The first page opens; use the arrows to go to the page with the signature line.
- Press Add signature. Draw your signature with a finger, stylus or mouse, type your name in a handwriting-style font, or upload a photo of your signature. White backgrounds are removed automatically.
- Drag the signature into place and resize it with the round handle. Add the date, extra text or ticks the same way.
- Press Save PDF to download the signed document. Your signature is remembered on this device for next time (untick the option if you prefer not).
Fill in and annotate PDFs too
Use Add text to fill in forms that have no interactive fields, write your address on a letter, or add notes. Tap a text box to edit it, change its size and colour with the controls, and drag it anywhere on the page. Ticks are handy for checkboxes.
Is an electronic signature legal?
In most countries, including under the US ESIGN Act and the EU's eIDAS regulation, a simple electronic signature like this one is legally valid for most everyday documents: employment contracts, rental agreements, consent forms and invoices. Some documents, such as certain property deeds, wills or regulated filings, need a qualified digital signature with identity verification or a wet signature, so check if in doubt.
Unlike e-signature services, nothing is uploaded: your document and signature never leave your device, and there is no account or per-document fee.
Is it safe to sign PDFs online?
Here it is, because the PDF and your signature are processed in your browser and never sent to a server.
How do I sign on my phone?
Open this page on your phone, choose the PDF from your files, press Add signature and sign with your finger.
Can I add more than one signature?
Yes. Press Add signature again for each place you need to sign, on any page.
