  2. The contents are listed with their sizes. Filter by name to find a file in a large archive.

  4. Download single files with ⬇, or all files with Download all.

Why use a browser unzipper?

Phones and Chromebooks, shared or locked-down work computers and tablets often cannot open archives without installing an app. This tool reads the ZIP directly in your browser: it parses the archive's central directory and decompresses only the files you open, using the browser's built-in Compression Streams API. That makes it fast even for large archives, because nothing is uploaded and nothing is extracted until you ask for it.

Supported: standard ZIP files using "stored" or "deflate" compression, which covers files made by Windows, macOS, Linux and nearly every program, including .zip downloads from email and cloud drives. File names in UTF-8 and older encodings are shown. Not supported: password-protected archives, ZIP64 archives over 4 GB, and other formats such as RAR or 7z.

Your archive never leaves your device, which makes it safe for confidential documents.

Can I open RAR or 7z files?

No, only .zip. Many file-sharing sites also offer a ZIP version of the download.

Why can't I open a password-protected ZIP?

Encrypted archives need the password and a decryption step this tool does not support. Encrypted entries are marked with a lock.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 4 GB per archive, limited also by your device's memory. Phones are comfortable with archives of a few hundred megabytes.
